Temporary Billing Assistant
About the Role
Search are recruiting for a Billing Assistant to join a growing organisation based in Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance experience who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Chase applications for payment to ensure timely invoicing and cash flow
- Collaborate with Operations to reduce delays and minimise invoice accruals
- Ensure all invoices include correct purchase order numbers
- Upload invoices using various customer portals
- Raise consolidated invoices for multiple clients
- Identify and correct billing errors, and resolve invoice queries
- Follow correct procedures for on boarding new customers
What We\’re Looking For
- Experience in Billing or Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable
- Familiarity with Sage 200 is an advantage
- Confident using Excel and navigating spreadsheets
- Comfortable speaking with clients and building rapport over the phone
- Highly organised and able to meet tight deadlines
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch), Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate
Working Pattern: 5 days on-site during training, then hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day from home)
