An opportunity to play your part – As our Third Party Regulatory Manager , you\’ll be the driving force behind ensuring our procurement activities not only meet but surpass the rigorous standards set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Ofgem. The day to day:
- Lead the charge in regulatory compliance within procurement processes, ensuring seamless alignment with FCA, Ofgem, and other key regulatory bodies.
- Stay ahead of the curve by maintaining expert knowledge of relevant legislation, including ESG, ECO, Ofgem, and FCA conduct rules.
- Craft and implement cutting-edge procurement policies and procedures that not only meet but exceed regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with legal, compliance, and finance teams to expertly manage the regulatory aspects of procurement contracts, risk assessments, and supplier onboarding.
- Provide stellar support during audits and ensure all necessary documentation is ready for regulatory bodies.
- Design and deliver engaging training and awareness programs for procurement and business teams on regulatory compliance.
- Work hand-in-hand with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with the organisation’s regulatory and commercial goals.
- Keep a vigilant eye on regulatory developments and proactively advise on their implications for procurement operations.
- Take charge of all regulatory submissions, papers, and board reports for regulated third-party areas.
About You:
- Significant experience in procurement or compliance management ideally within the dynamic energy sector.
- Deep understanding of FCA regulations and Ofgem compliance obligations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, contract law, and supply chain risk management.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical procurement processes.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Academic background in Law, Business, Procurement, or a related field (CIPS qualification preferred).
- Profound knowledge of regulatory frameworks, tools, and procurement best practices.
- Expertise in third-party risk management, contract negotiations, and compliance.
