Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a proven track record in business development, embedded credit skills, and the ability to identify P&L issues. You will be instrumental in driving new business, managing key client relationships, and assessing financials, including balance sheets, to determine credit risks in line with the company\’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive loan origination from £25,001 to £250,000, primarily targeting high-risk lending opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new introducers and business partners to expand the referral network and create sustainable, long-term relationships.
  • Apply embedded credit expertise to assess potential clients\’ financial health, identify and address P&L issues, and recommend appropriate lending solutions.
  • Analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, and provide critical insights on creditworthiness and risk.
  • Proactively manage existing clients, ensuring they receive the support and service they need throughout the loan process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing of loan applications and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Deliver regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities, loan pipeline, and key opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to the growth and reputation of the company within the local business community.
