Our client is looking to recruit an EHS Co-ordinator based at their modern site in Havant.

Role is to support the Senior EHS Advisor and the wider EHS team in coordinating and administrating Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) tasks i.e. Risk Assessments, Framework tasks, Action Management, etc.

Key tasks will include the administration of our training system for electronic training and arranging and documenting physical training.

What you ll be doing

  • As the EHS Coordinator you will be a key driver in the compliance framework for all EHS statutory requirements.
  • You will support monthly reviews and updates and will administrate for our EHS portal for incident and action management (Eco-online).
  • Communicate guidance and support EHS updates to the management team on good practice in relation to health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Support the administration of centralised EHS Framework and Blueprint strategies and translate them locally, ensuring compliance with group standards.
  • Together with the Senior EHS Advisor, manage and administrate the legal register software, including communication periodic review updates of any legislative changes regarding EHS.
  • Assist in periodical EHS & Carbon Footprint data gathering, (using supplied system) with regards to sustainability, environment and waste management.
  • To facilitate the investigation of incidents and adverse events (Learning Event Process), and to share learning from incidents across the company and the wider organization.
  • Support the Senior EHS Advisor producing reports on health, safety, and environmental performance at local level following the analysis of data and trends in support of continual improvement in the EHS system.
  • Support the development of Safe Systems of work, Standard Work, One Point Lessons, Tool Box Talks and Process Standards for all EHS requirements.
  • Support EHS audits and action response, both internally and externally, in our Check and Act phase (14001 & 45001.
  • Together with the Senior EHS Advisor, deliver risk identification, facilitate risk assessments and control strategies, issuing final copies to facilitate training.
  • EHS involvement in the management of contractor s process, from pre-qualification, review of contractor documentation, contractor selection, permits to work and practical on-site management and monitoring.
  • Assist in creating and approval process for approved documentation via eQMS system, TrackWise. Allocate documents approved, for training by colleagues.

This is what you ll need to be successful in this role

Qualifications:

  • IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
  • Formal H&S qualification at level 3 (NGC) preferable (however support can be provided with obtaining this qualification after a successful probation period).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an EHS Role, manufacturing based preferable.
  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • Computer literate with skills in office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience of computer systems which would be used for EHS Functions.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing Techniques desirable
  • Works well as both part of a team and can also work under own initiative.
  • Maintains knowledge of current legislative, statutory and sector EHS requirements.
  • Raises awareness of and actively promotes the organisation s EHS culture.
