Your Opportunity:
This is a key role within the Engineering and Technical team, responsible for managing the full interconnection lifecycle for utility-scale renewable energy and storage projects. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact with ISOs, RTOs, and utilities, ensuring that interconnection timelines, budgets, and risks are aligned with project delivery. The role suits a technically fluent, commercially aware project leader who thrives in fast-paced developer environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the interconnection process from application to energization and transition to operations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and transmission providers
  • Track and manage interconnection deliverables including payments, security, and milestones
  • Align interconnection plans with development, permitting, and construction schedules
  • Interpret study results and provide commercial guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Lead interconnection and transmission contract negotiations
  • Coordinate internal teams on technical design, milestones, and compliance
  • Support construction-phase utility coordination and site energization
  • Monitor and assess the impact of regulatory or queue-related changes
  • Maintain internal trackers and ensure consistent communication across departments

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing utility-scale interconnection projects, with at least 3 years on the developer or IPP side
  • Strong understanding of FERC Orders and ISO/RTO tariffs
  • Direct experience with interconnection processes in PJM, MISO, and ERCOT
  • Familiarity with tools such as PJM eTools, MISO GI Queue, ERCOT MIS, and OATI OASIS
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations for interconnection and transmission agreements
  • Experience coordinating utility interface during construction and energization phases
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and project management capabilities
