Project Manager – Shielded Chambers
Job Summary
Working for a global company this Project Manager position is an exciting and fast paced design- to- build position. An environment where cutting edge concepts are implemented from paper, design, manufacture, installation and hand-over. The Project Manager plays a key role and is instrumental in the process of understanding customer needs, revealing expectations and relaying this information back to the project team, in order to maximise customer satisfaction within the available budget and thus ensuring repeat business.
The Project Manager will be required to coordinate with multi-disciplined groups both internal and external to the business to successfully deliver various shielded and anechoic chambers for the RF, Antenna and EMC measurement sectors. The opportunity will also present scope to grow and develop within the business across many different focus areas such as telecoms, antenna measurements, military/aerospace and automotive markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer requirements to ensure that the customer needs are satisfied
- Ensure good communication between the customer and other internal departments interacting on the project
- Support engineering and integration teams throughout the project execution
- Management of projects following best practice and principles of project management, adapting to customer requirements and ensuring quality throughout the project
- Leadership of cross functional teams across geographical locations
- Customer interfacing, being the key point of contact for product deliveries and support
- Customer support, organising and ensuring that customers get preventive maintenance and excellent technical support
The Person:
- Ability to handle many tasks in parallel, without losing sight of priorities, ensuring that all important activities get finished on time
- Responsible, organised, able to manage time effectively and work efficiently, both with and without direct supervision
- Capability to work within multi-disciplinary teams, and forge strong relationships in the process
- Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly adjust tasks and travel priorities, according to customer needs
- Good at networking and efficiently communicating with people
- Capability and self-motivation to rapidly assimilate information, expand knowledge base, and develop core competencies.
- Applicant should be self-driven, seeking to assume responsibility and follow-through tasks to completion
- Excellent analytic and troubling-shooting skills (ability to read and diagnose schematics & components, break down system operation, etc.)
- Communicate in English in spoken and written forms
- Fully authorised to work in the UK
- Whilst this is an office based position, there will also be a need to travel in the UK, Europe and further afield when required.
The Rewards:
- Basic Salary £35k – £42k DoE
- 22 days holiday per annum plus 8 days statuary holidays
- Company contribution pension
