Regulatory Reporting Analyst – Chester/Hybrid

Salary £60,000 pa plus extensive benefits; day rate option available.

The client, a leading financial institution, seeks a Regulatory Reporting Analyst on a 6‑month contract based in Chester with a hybrid working model (3 days in‑office, 2 days remote). The role requires Monday‑to‑Friday availability from 9 am to 5 pm, with flexibility around working hours and office days as needed.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform reporting, monitoring, and analytics for liquidity submissions.
  • Understand liquidity reporting rules and data requirements.
  • Enhance processes to streamline reporting and develop additional analytical capabilities.
  • Conduct system testing and assess impacts on end‑to‑end liquidity processes.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting controls, managing operational risk in the process.
  • Lead ad‑hoc projects for senior management or regulators.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to analyse and manipulate large data sets with great attention to detail, understanding data flow within database applications.
  • Excellent time‑management skills, meeting deadlines and juggling multiple priorities without compromising quality.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Self‑motivated and self‑directed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in financial and/or data analytics within a financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Background in Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Management, Accounting, or Data Management.
  • SQL and database knowledge, with the ability to analyse data and related flows.
  • Experience working with quantitative models.
  • Knowledge of banking and capital market products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite plus industry tools such as Workiva, Atlas/LIBRA, Blueprint, Diamond, Tableau.
