Job Description
An award winning, top AJ100 practice, has a vacancy for a Senior Urban Designer in their prestigious London studio. The practice operates in the residential and residential led mixed-use sector, designing and delivering stunning projects in urban and suburban settings as well as creating new neighbourhoods and settlements. This is both at the outline planning and detailed design stages. You will be leading on a number of high profile visioning and masterplanning projects for urban extensions, large scale new neighbourhoods and garden villages in the UK.
The ideal candidate will have significant high quality urban design experience with a significant proportion of their portfolio in relevant large scale residential projects. You will be taking projects through the stages of vision development and masterplanning to the preparation of design coding, regulatory plans and proving layouts. This will all be done with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity. This is a senior role requiring you to lead a team and be involved in community engagement. An architectural background or appreciation would be advantageous.
