SHEQ Advisor

Overview

HSEQ Advisor for a site-based role in Tilbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health, safety, environmental, and quality matters on-site, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and effectively controlled. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSEQ Lead in reviewing and improving company policies and procedures.
• Advise employees and subcontractors on best practices in health, safety, environment, and quality.
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of safe working methods.
• Conduct weekly site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and support investigations where necessary.
• Assist in delivering training and briefings related to HSEQ requirements.
• Prepare quarterly HSEQ reports and liaise with relevant external bodies when required.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred).
• IOSH membership (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in a similar HSEQ role within a construction environment.
• Working knowledge of civil engineering and site operations.

Additional Information

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and employment status.
