What You’ll Do
- Ownership of a portfolio of projects relating to the sustainment and continuous improvement of in production and in-service aerospace products currently supplied to multiple user aircraft.
- Responsible for applying best practice project management techniques to ensure delivery to time & cost for allocated projects of an agreed scope.
- Act as the primary project management PoC for several of the IPT’s major customers.
- Provide customer and internal summary reporting to a defined cadence, present and interpret information from multiple ‘Business as Usual’ sources as well as project data.
- Work closely with production Delivery managers, Programme manager and other stakeholders to identify and manage risk to customer production delivery in the medium term (6–24-month window).
- Support the production SIOP process for capacity planning on a 2-year window.
- Facilitate resolution of escalated issues from Operations, Customer Account and Procurement stakeholders through controlled planning and execution of new projects or work packages.
- Support identification of new opportunities to improve customer service or experience; this includes working with bid managers & processes where additional customer funding may be available.
- Support Programme and Engineering managers to draw individual projects or work packages into efficient work streams, considering for example shared dependencies or synergy.
- Ownership of costed and resource loaded schedules for allocated projects; working closely with PMO planners to ensure the schedules remain realistic and support overall programme aims.
- Responsible for applying Eaton project governance processes, including project lifecycle gate reviews and supporting technical design reviews from a project management perspective.
Qualifications
- Qualified to deliver large and complex programmes
- Degree plus ideally 5 years experience of managing projects through full lifecycles

- Able to take corporate or ‘global’ view and deal with senior stakeholders
- Experience of managing multiple projects comprising similar functions and technology, with proven delivery track record
- An ability to coach junior project managers and increase their efficiency and effectiveness
- Commercially and contractually aware
- Track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships
- Strong knowledge of the functional disciplines and supply chain that require management
- Leadership & communication – clear direction, guidance and motivation to team
