Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Electrical Connectors Sales team on a permanent basis being responsible and accountable for the sales and growth of the PTD market, this role will cover UK & Ireland.
Ideally we are looking for candidates that have a home location within 100 miles of Northampton.
The main responsibilities for this role are:
- Achieve agreed revenue growth targets through solution selling.
- Continue to grow revenues in both new and existing businesses with an 60:40 split of 60% focus on creation of new business and 40% focus on development of existing accounts.
- Develop a business plan complying with Company\’s ethical values and in line with the Global PTD Sales plan in conjunction with Local Management.
- Focus on creating new accounts in power distribution devices segment, with focus on solutions for power conversion, blind mate backplane connection and LV/MV power distribution.
- Build and maintain close relationships with existing key accounts to develop sales.
- Work alongside the existing team to identify and develop potential markets/Customers through incoming leads.
- Work with the Local Divisional Director and Head of Sales to set and monitor the Annual Revenue and Sales budgets for the business.
- Ensure that all relevant activities relating to customer communication are recorded in CRM for effective activity planning.
- Develop and maintain sales pipeline
- Closely monitor competitors\’ activity within the market.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of HNC in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years external Sales experience.
- Previous experience of selling direct into the low/ medium or high voltage power distributions OEMs is desirable.
- Account Management and developing new Customers.
- Strong communication skills
- A full, clean UK driving license.
Additional Information
