The Manager – Trade Compliance, Customs & Logisticsis accountable for the strategic leadership and operational execution of trade compliance and logistics activities across the EMEA region. This includes direct oversight of the EMEA Site Trade Compliance teams, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders, and setting a clear vision for the organization\’s trade compliance efforts.The role provides expert guidance on trade compliance laws and regulations to Plexus and its customers, drives the development and implementation of regional trade compliance and logistics initiatives, and champions continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product movement efficiency and compliance.
Key Job Accountabilities:

Sets the vision and priorities in alignment with Plexus\’ overall business objectives and growth strategies

Maintains communication with site, regional and global leadership regarding trade compliance and logistics initiatives, priorities, and performance.

Define strategy, solutions, and develop business partnerships to add value and differentiate Plexus\’ service offering to customers.

Collaborates cross-functionally to lead process improvements, automation projects, and optimization initiatives to enhance product movement efficiency and compliance, including designing the organization to support business requirements and growth.

Develops and implements a comprehensive risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate potential trade compliance and logistics risks across the EMEA region.

Accountable to execute on Plexus\’ Best People strategy by evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and providing development and coaching to employees.
Additional Responsibilities:

Monitors and communicates changes in the export compliance regulatory environment in the EMEA region.

Represents the voice of the local operations to the Corporate Trade Compliance team for matters related to trade compliance.

Conducts compliance audits with sites and supports improvement plans.
Skills & Experience Required:

Ability to lead organization transformation to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness

Ability to think strategically and align trade compliance goals with overall business objectives.

Ability to adapt to and manage change effectively in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Capacity to make informed and timely decisions, considering potential risks and opportunities

Minimum Bachelor\’s degree, ideally in a business or technical related field.

Previous experience in Import, Export, Trade Compliance, and transportation.

Extensive knowledge of UK & European Union customs regulations and procedures.
-
Demonstrated experience in international trade (import / export).

Ten (10) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.

Skilled in identifying and resolving complex trade compliance issues effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams to achieve trade compliance goals.

Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to manage several projects at a time.
-
Customer management and financial experience is a plus.
