Estimator – Passive Fire Protection Location: Harrogate Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum About: My client is a leading passive fire protection company committed to the highest standards of professionalism, quality, and integrity. Operating across installation & remediation and surveying & consultancy, they deliver market-leading services to clients nationwide. With a portfolio spanning hospitals, student accommodation, and residential high-rise buildings, they have extensive experience across public and private sector projects. A vibrant, energetic team experiencing rapid growth and success – and are looking for an Estimator to support the Commercial Department. The Role As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with the Commercial and Operational teams, you will provide accurate costings and proposals for a variety of passive fire protection projects across the UK. Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project specifications and drawings. * Work with the Commercial team to manage tenders and submissions. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes. * Analyse costs to ensure value for money and project profitability. * Provide support for project variations and ongoing commercial decision-making. * Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting requirements. What We’re Looking For: * Minimum 1 year of experience as an Estimator. * Passive fire protection experience is desired but not essential – candidates with strong estimating experience in other sectors are encouraged to apply. * Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, estimating software). * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
