Right now, due to our continued growth plans, we are looking for a Transport Planner to join our growing Building Supplies business on a permanent contract out of our store in Queensborough, Isle of Sheppey, Kent. About the role As our transport planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring that deliveries are completed accurately and on time. Acting as the key point of contact, you will liaise with suppliers and customers to organise and schedule deliveries, manage routes, and oversee driver assignments to optimise efficiency. You will be expected to monitor delivery progress, resolve any issues that arise, and ensure that vehicles are safely and correctly loaded according to product specifications and vehicle capacities. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all transportation activities will also be a crucial part of the role, as will ensuring strict compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
