As an Advice Support Apprentice, you’ll provide support to multiple teams within Rathbones as part of various rotational placements, ensuring smooth operations across the Advice Support function and assisting with a variety of administrative and project-based tasks whilst working towards the Level 3 Financial Services qualification.
You will study for the Level 3 Financial Services qualification, tuition for which is provided by Fitch. As part of the apprenticeship, around 6 hours of your working week will be dedicated to this learning. The apprenticeship will take you up to 18 months to complete, starting in September 2025.
What will I be doing day-to-day?
The department focuses on driving a client-centric support model. Ensuring the delivery of:
- Provide Advice Support services to Rathbones Financial Planning teams (RFP). Ensuring adherence to processes and maintenance of SLA’s agreed with the business.
- Establish strong working relationships across the Rathbones Financial Planning community to all levels to ensure that service excellence is achieved throughout the Advice client lifecycle.
- Work closely with wider Group Operations Functions to build strong relationships with all, ensuring good client outcomes.
- Take a proactive approach to problem solving – looking for opportunities to streamline processes where possible.
- Proactively engage with the regulatory landscape and take ownership for our risk environment
- Providing training and support to develop and empower others, in line with our Training & Development framework.
What Do I Need?
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade A-C/ 4-9) including Maths & English and preferably 2 x A Levels or equivalent.
- General awareness of the financial services and investment industry and a keen willingness to learn and progress within the sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong numerical competency.
- Available for assessment centre on Tuesday 19th August, and to start the role on 15th September.
