We are currently working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation with operations across the South West, who are looking to appoint an Aids and Adaptations Surveyor on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based across the South West, offering hybrid working and a salary of £48,944. The ideal candidate will have a relevant HNC/HNQ Qualifications, proven experience of building maintenance and up to date knowledge of relevant Aids and Adaptations policy and practices. Duties will include (but are not limited to): – Providing line management and expertise to a team focusing on Alterations, Adaptations and Property Permissions across a designated area, including technical management of all required inspections – Undertaking pre and post inspections for property adaptations – Supporting customers in applying for local authority grant funding, and appointing suitable contractors, both internal and external – Ensuring the business maintains compliance with statutory functions – Investigating adaptation requests and managing the process with thought given to the lifecycle of the property – Producing and approving specifications of work – Project managing complex repairs, including producing technical reports and drawings – Calculating specifications and managing works against pre-agreed budgets – Approving DFG requests Experience required: – Experience requir…
