Description
We are now on the lookout for an Accounts Senior to join our growing team. All work is reviewed by a manager, but is largely unsupervised at this level.
What your day to day will look like as an Accounts Senior:
- Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for manager review.
- Undertake regular bookkeeping for clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as necessary.
- Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments.
- Guiding and advising trainee / junior staff in the department, delegate work where necessary and suggest work that other members of the team can undertake.
- Chase up outstanding queries with clients and to “progress manage” their own assignments.
- Take responsibility for a certain assignment, able to coordinate separate Ashgates services (ensuring queries cleared at a suitable point in time for clients), plan ahead suggesting dates for internal reviews etc.
- May be required to travel to clients’ premises. Some overtime is required from time to time.
