We are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded architectural practice based in the Newark area, who are actively seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. With nearly 90 staff across three UK studios, this privately owned firm has developed a national reputation for delivering intelligent, large-scale architecture across the industrial, logistics, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. Projects typically range from £5m to over £150m, including complex distribution centres, manufacturing facilities, energy and waste infrastructure, and expansive multi-unit commercial parks. The practice operates with an annual turnover exceeding £10m and has built an enviable client base with over 95% of work from repeat business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, technically strong individual with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic, design-led studio. For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway to Associate level, with long-term leadership potential.
You will lead key projects from early concept through technical delivery and on-site completion, acting as a direct liaison with clients, consultants and contractors, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the broader success of the team.
Job Overview- Lead the design and technical delivery of industrial and commercial schemes from feasibility to completion
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, stakeholders and external authorities throughout all RIBA stages
- Mentor and support junior team members on technical detailing and project coordination
- Ensure projects meet time, cost, quality and compliance benchmarks
- Prepare detailed construction drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD
- Engage in site visits, technical problem-solving and contractor liaison
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally within the Industrial, logistics, commercial sectors
- Excellent technical acumen with a thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations
- Proven track record of managing and delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
- Confident in client-facing roles and experienced in coordinating with design teams and external consultants
- High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience mentoring junior staff or leading small teams
- Must be within a commutable distance to Newark, with full-time presence in the office expected
- Salary Bracket: £38,000 to £50,000 + (DOE)
