Job Title: Freight Administrator Location: Witham, Essex Salary: Up to £27,000 Job Type: Full-Time Job Description: As a Freight Administrator, you will support the freight team by managing essential administrative functions related to freight operations. This role will focus on ensuring the accuracy of documentation, assisting with billing processes, and coordinating communication between internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain shipping and import/export documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations. Support the team with invoicing, ensuring accuracy in freight charges and cost allocations. Communicate with internal teams to ensure that all freight and logistics processes run smoothly. Assist in tracking shipments by updating relevant systems and reporting status to the team. Respond to basic freight-related inquiries and provide assistance where needed. Coordinate with suppliers and freight partners to ensure the proper documentation is provided and processed in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of freight transactions and documentation for audit purposes. Help with filing and organizing freight-related documents to ensure they are easily accessible. Assist with the preparation of routine reports, including delivery status and cost summaries.Requirements: Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in logistics, freight, or a related industry.
