Logistics Coordinator
East Grinstead | Full-time, Permanent | £30,000 per annum | On-site position
Role Profile
The role is responsible for the co-ordination of dispatching and receiving of all finished goods, spare parts and purchased parts to and from the UK facility. This will cover all customer orders to be delivered on time across our territory of responsibility in the most cost effective methods available.
The responsibility includes working in a safe and efficient manner in the warehouse, dispatching orders, commercial invoicing, certificates of conformity, certificates of origin, invoicing and the control of all duty related activities. The role is also required to provide backup support to the warehouse duties including picking and packing.
Role Responsibilities
Despatching all finished goods, spare parts against customer orders;
- Process on a daily basis, all customer deliveries using the most cost effective freight forwarder.
- Use M3 ERP system and Pro Doc
Logistics administrative support;
- Answering the telephone to satisfy customer enquiries.
- Email customers with tracking numbers
- Build relationships with freight forwarders
Freighting costs;
- Review all existing freight companies / activities employed in order to find the most cost effective and best service levels to the customers.
- Ensure all correct documentation is with each shipment EG Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, etc.
- C99 are adhered to avoid fines from HMRC
Warehouse Duties;
- To assist picking and packing of stock to match to customer orders.
- Assist with booking in of stock.
Custom Duty Management;
- Regular checks of VAT & Duty invoices to ensure the correct rate is being applied to spares and jets.
- Review re-claim opportunities for exports outside of the EU. This includes back dated opportunities
Personal Specifications
- Degree level qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Procurement
- 1 year experience in a similar role, beneficial
- Knowledge of M3 ERP Systems, beneficial
- Clear communicator, able to liaise with internal and external members
