Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, management and maintenance of all cardiology testing schedules with a focus on Vascular and Nuclear testing, as well as other modality schedules for assigned areas including stress testing, device clinic, wearable monitors, EKG and others.
- Serve as the primary individual responsible for scheduling and confirming all Vascular and Nuclear testing appointments and ensuring that all necessary patient preparation instructions are communicated and understood.
- Lead all aspects of scheduling preparation and changes including: preparing weekly at-a-glance and monthly coverage schedules; maintaining appointment templates; implementing and communicating scheduling changes to appropriate parties; and arranging for backup coverage as needed.
- Perform data collection and preparation of departmental statistical reports as well as other scheduling, statistical and special projects.
Qualifications
- Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School diploma or equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) required. Associate degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of related experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Skills: Detail oriented; able to manage large quantities of information; able to perform in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and tact; proficient with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and other computerized information systems; previous EMR experience desirable but not required; knowledge of Cardiology and clinical terminology preferred.
