Our client are a specialist commercial law firm with offices in Liverpool & Chester. With a friendly culture and excellent reputation with their clients, they are now seeking a Employment Law Solicitor to join their fast-growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor to handle a broad range of employment matters across a varied client base, from SMEs to larger corporate entities, across multiple sectors.
Working closely with an experienced Partner, you’ll enjoy high levels of autonomy and responsibility, with the support of a friendly and highly skilled team.
About the Role
- Advising employers on a full range of employment law matters under UK law, including day-to-day HR issues, grievances, disciplinary matters, and absence management
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to final hearing, including advocacy where appropriate
- Drafting and advising on contracts of employment, staff handbooks, settlement agreements, consultancy agreements and service contracts
- Advising on reorganisations, restructures, redundancies and TUPE (in both business sales and service provision changes)
- Supporting corporate colleagues on employment aspects of business transactions, including due diligence and warranty/indemnity drafting
- Delivering training and updates to clients on employment law developments
- Contributing to business development and supporting the growth of the employment team
About You
- A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law
- Solid technical knowledge of UK employment law and proven experience managing your own caseload
- Commercial awareness with the ability to provide practical and strategic advice to employer clients
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- A team player who enjoys collaboration but is confident working independently
- A client-focused, proactive approach to relationship management and business development
