We are seeking an imaginative, positive, and forward-thinking Creative Designer to join our dynamic Creative Studio on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to cover an increase in commercial work. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a passionate designer eager to make a significant impact across innovative brand experiences, marketing campaign assets, and in-house creative content. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with the Creative, Commercial and Marketing teams to deliver a variety of creative assets, documents, and media. Your work will include creating new business brand mocks, digital and marketing assets, presentations, app and microsite designs, promotional and social videos, and pitch documents. These assets will facilitate the sales process from initial engagement to closing, helping shape both our internal storytelling and our external presence across top-tier client campaigns. An in-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong creative and technical mind, the Creative Designer will have creative flair and a strong sense of style and aesthetic. A knowledge of design principles is a must! The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a solid portfolio working across different projects and design styles. You will also have the chance to influence big client campaigns through your own references and deck designs.

The ideal candidate would be someone who can demonstrate an excellent portfolio of work, showcasing layout, motion, typography and branding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a range of design and motion graphics projects, from quick conceptual designs, wireframes, and mock-ups to finalised content and complex multidisciplinary challenges.
  • Create compelling sales collateral such as presentations (Pitch desks for top tier clients), mock-ups, email templates, sizzle reels, and other digital or print assets that clearly communicate Outernet\’s value proposition. Ensure all visuals and documents are high-quality, engaging, and tailored to the target audience (prospects or clients).
  • Utilise the Adobe Suite to produce designs for various jobs, including mocks, brand elements, and social and digital assets.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Business Directors/Managers and the Marcomms team to meet their visual needs, including presentations, documents, graphics for social media, showreels, PR pieces, and content for our unique canvas and spaces.
  • Ensure all assets strictly adhere to Outernet\’s brand guidelines in terms of visual identity, messaging tone, and style.
  • Maintain and evolve templates so teams can efficiently create or customise content while staying on brand.
  • Develop and evolve ideas and concepts into excellently crafted creative solutions and communication pieces using mood boards, sketching, rendering, and image editing software.
  • Manage multiple design projects simulataneously, often under tight deadlines and prioritise multi-client demands, ensuring timely delivery of assets.
  • Stay organised by maintaining the content management system so that assets can be easily found and re-used.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop creative and design solutions for various projects.
  • Distribute style guides, design references, assets, and any other appropriate materials to relevant parties.
  • Conduct occasional research, sourcing, and procurement of image files, footage, 3D files, and fonts.
  • Create fully functioning, interactive PowerPoints and PDF files.
  • Design logos and microsites.
  • Implement best practices in design and sales communications, keeping up with new design tools and trends to enhance work.

Key Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate proven experience in designing for clients (2-3 years plus highly desirable)
  • Proficiency in graphic design and layout with familiarity with industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe After Effects is required, with ideally some experience in Cinema 4D.
  • Understanding of print and digital resolutions. Experience with Figma.
  • Previous experience working in a sales/marketing department is highly desirable.
  • Experience designing presentation in tools like Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply design layout and straightforward editing principles.
  • Capability to handle confidential information with tact and sensitivity.
  • Eagerness and drive to continually learn and grow as a designer.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills in naming conventions and archiving, being able to manage projects and deadlines. Multi-tasking and staying organised in a fast-paced environment (often with many simultaneous requests) are necessary skills.
  • Ability to provide alternatives to the brief.
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to work with the team, gather requirements and present design concepts to stakeholders. Being collaborative and receptive to feedback is crucial, as the role involved iterating on material based on input from sales, marketing and creative.
  • Conceptual thinking and design abilities, with the skill to effectively express ideas across various media.
  • Curiosity and self-motivation, staying highly aware of current design trends, always eager to explore new areas, approaches, and tools, and being an advocate for anything creatively inspiring.
  • Interest in music, film, gaming, social media, and new technologies is a must.
  • Enthusiasm for setting, accepting, and tackling demanding objectives, showing drive, determination, and commitment to creative excellence.
