Mechanical Engineer – UK, London – Permanent Contract
This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre company that partners with the world’s largest technology firms to provide robust and sustainable operating infrastructure.
With significant investments secured, this data centre group is entering their next phase of growth and are looking to bring on board an Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with the Pre-Development, Development, Engineering and Construction teams to support the development of data centres in Europe.
- The successful individual will be responsible for contributing to Europe-wide development and influencing the data centres.
- The role will capture the full development cycle from pre-development liaison with stakeholders, including planning authorities and utility companies, working closely with all areas of the Development and Construction teams.
- Support in contract review, negotiation, and execution, utilizing knowledge of varying Design and Construction contract forms.
- Be part of a team developing data centres across Europe in multiple new locations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in mechanical or building services engineering and project management
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
- Solid understanding of energy efficiency best practices and sustainability principles as they relate to data centre infrastructure.
- Proficiency with MS Project.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Bachelor\’s or Master’s Degree, mechanical or building services engineering, or technology-related discipline is advantageous.
