Reporting to the QC Microbiology Group Leader, this role is to perform microbiological testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products, to ensure quality is controlled, as well as investigating quality issues and performing Environmental Monitoring.What will this role involve?Environmental Monitoring of clean rooms and controlled manufacturing areas.Bioburden product testing.Provide support to Validation; protocol, report execution and Dose audits.Identification and Enumeration of Micro-organism (Gram stain and Microscopy)Routine daily checks i.e. calibration, temperature reading.Water sampling/testing.Raise laboratory investigations, NCs, when required and provide support to quality investigations.Contribute to laboratory improvement projects.Ensure the QC Micro Laboratory is maintained in a compliant state by ensuring that materials, chemicals, reagents required for testing are always in stock , and media is prepared to meet laboratory demands.To promote and uphold Quality and Microbiology requirements within production and other departments.Ensuring all testing done is carried out to the Laboratory’s standard operating procedures.Ensuring all data generated is managed through the laboratory smoothly and contains all the information necessary to allow a true and accurate interpretation of results. Taking responsibility for organising the workload through the laboratory with due regard to safety, accuracy.
