π Principal Electrical Engineer β HS2 & Landmark UK Infrastructure
π° Up to Β£110K + Car Allowance | Global M&E Design & Build Contractor
This company design and deliver cutting-edge infrastructure across Rail, Highways, Water & Energy.
They're now looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead HS2 and other major UK projects from concept to commissioning.
The role
- Provide electrical engineering support at every project stage: tender, design, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
- Mentor and develop engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD teams
- Manage the delivery of LV & HV designs (up to 33kV) including lighting, UPS, switchboards, and VSDs
- Review designs for buildability, safety, and compliance
- Collaborate on PLC control systems (SCADA, BMS) and safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, HAZCON)
- Work closely with site teams to resolve technical challenges and support tender submissions
About you
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar + Chartered (or working towards it)
- Infrastructure experience in Rail, Highways, Airports or Power
- Experience working as a Senior Electrical or Principal Electrical Engineer.
- Deep knowledge of electrical installations, legislation & standards
- Skilled in Amtech/Trimble, Cymap, AutoCAD/MicroStation
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- SMSTS/CSCS card + UK driving licence
