Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor Role! 4myschools are excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant & Cover Supervisor. This dual role is perfect for those looking to make a positive impact in both primary and secondary school environments, working with a diverse range of students across King's Lynn. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting teachers and students in the classroom, helping with lesson delivery, individual support, and assisting with special educational needs (SEN) where applicable. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support where necessary. This is a flexible and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in education while making a real difference in the learning journey of students. Key Responsibilities: Teaching Assistant: * Assist in delivering lessons and supporting students with tasks. * Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with additional needs. * Help prepare classroom materials and resources. * Support classroom management and student engagement. * Assist with the assessment and tracking of students’ progress. Cover Supervisor: * Supervise and manage the class during short-term teacher absences. * Ensure that students follow the set work and complete tasks as directed. * Manage behaviour, ensuring a productive and respectful classroom environment. * Provide feedback to teachers about class progress and any issues encountered. Key Skills & Experience: * Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting). * Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of various ages and abilities. * A calm, patient, and flexible approach. * The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively. * A genuine interest in helping children achieve their potential. Qualifications: * Ideally, you will hold a relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or be working towards one. However, experience in a similar role will also be considered. * A valid DBS check or the willingness to undergo one through 4myschools.
