Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Customer Support & Services (CSS) organisation for a Through Life Engineer to take charge of work packages associated with influencing product design for support and for developing cost-effective support solutions for our global customers.
This role performs the duties of the Through Life Engineer and reports to the Project Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in an integrated project team environment during the product’s design and development phase to satisfy customers’ support requirements.
- Act as a focus within the project for progressing design for support objectives and exploiting new and existing technologies to facilitate through-life support.
- Collaborate with other functions such as Reliability, Human Factors, Training, and Technical Authors to ensure the delivery of support solutions.
- Apply Supportability Engineering techniques such as Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) standards such as Def Stan 00-600 or ASD S3000L.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience and knowledge of Supportability Engineering techniques.
- Sound understanding of ILS standards and the customer environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with both internal and external partners.
- A motivated and flexible approach to working in a dynamic design environment.
