Overview
SWG Events is a well-established Technical Production Services and Equipment supplier whose work spans primarily Event Sound, Lighting, Audio-Visual and Technical Production Services with a wide client base ranging from Festivals, Independent Promoters, Live Events, Corporate and Special Projects.
As part of our fast-paced growth in recent years, SWG Events are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the close-knit Operations Team to assist in the running, improvement and development of its production department and the delivery of our events portfolio.
As the events industry is progressing, and our client base is changing, we are looking for someone to work with us to improve existing processes and design new ways of working to meet the operational challenges we face moving forward. This is an exciting roll for the right candidate.

Job Description
In brief, the Roles and Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager would be;
· Work with SWG’s existing and prospective clients to deal with enquiries. Produce quotations, client Liaison, pre-production and event delivery maintaining good client communication throughout
· Liaise with the other Heads of department and the Operations Director to ensure a seamless technical delivery both in terms of planning and onsite delivery
· Booking of crew and the increase of our freelance database
· Booking of contractor services and general procurement
· Purchase order raising and client invoicing
· Artist and festival advancing
· Managing and / or assisting with equipment preparation ensuring the highest of standards are met
· Overall project management
· Working as part of the wider SWG Projects team on larger jobs undertaking tasks in specific areas of responsibility as drawn out by the Project Lead. This would include attendance of Statutory and Client meetings, managing Budgets working to specific project margins, working with existing and developing new systems of work to ensure smooth information flow and delivery, drawing up of plans and ensuring that our client’s requirements and expectations are met, always
· Specific tasks as required by the SWG Operations Team
Working within the events industry also requires an amount of working away from home. As part of our range of projects, we use a variety of accommodation including camping as well as hotels, but you should expect to be away for up to 1 week on occasion. The longer stays would be planned but on a rare occasion, there may be a requirement for an overnight stay at short notice.
In addition, you would be expected to work weekends these are particularly prudent in the May – September season with all the festival and live events we work on.
You would be expected to drive company vehicles including vans, and occasionally to use your own vehicle for which we would pay an agreed mileage rate.
As part of our ongoing development, you will be offered training in relevant areas, we are also willing to consider any training courses you feel may be relevant to aid your own personal development.

Education and Qualifications
- Education to at least A-Level, BTEC or equivalent standard
- Full Clean Driving License
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment with a dynamic workload and fast turnaround deadlines.
- 5 years proven experience within the events sector.
Key Skills and Qualities
- Excellent clerical skills including Typing, General Writing and Phone Call Management
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as General IT Skills
- A good understanding and experience of dealing with and Managing Complex Budgets using a variety of different Systems
- Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent Multi-Project Handling abilities including liaison with all Stakeholders
- A real ‘Resource’ investigator thinking outside of the ‘box’ with a keen eye for detail
- A good understanding and awareness of Health and Safety and its application in the Workplace
