Job Description
Cromwell Medical Staffing is recruiting a dedicated Band 4 Laboratory Assistant to support the Microbiology -Bacteriology department at a leading NHS hospital in Sussex.
The successful candidate will assist Biomedical Scientists with the processing of laboratory specimens, playing a key role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of diagnostic testing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Biomedical Scientists with routine specimen processing in virology
- Handle and prepare clinical samples for analysis following laboratory protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laboratory work areas
- Ensure accurate data entry and labelling of specimens
- Adhere to infection control and health & safety procedures
