An excellent opportunity has arisen with Grant Westfield, a UK leading luxury bathroom panel manufacturer, for an apprentice to join their Finance team!

Over 100 years of experience in the business, this manufacturer produces over 8,000 panels a week for distribution throughout the UK and Northern Europe via merchants, bathroom showrooms and leading online e-tailers. They are looking for an ambitious, eager to learn individual to join the team in the heart of Edinburgh to support the credit control function.

Overview:

Responsibilities will include coordinating and collaborating with finance colleagues and other departments such as customer service and sales to handle and resolve accounts receivable related matters appropriately, supporting accounts payable with invoice processing and supplier queries, ensuring credit control policies and procedures are implemented effectively to minimise credit risk and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers whilst effectively resolving queries.

- Become a “superuser” on Epicor – their ERP System. You will set up new customer accounts and monitor these accounts to resolve queries, ensuring timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies to ensure smooth cash flow. You will also evaluate and asses the creditworthiness of new and existing customers through credit checks and payment history to set appropriate credit limits.
- 1st point of contact for customers and supplies contacting the Finance Team. Triaging calls and if necessary, passing on to the appropriate team member and updating information onto Epicor for relevant team members to have sight of.
- Download data from Epicor to Microsoft Excel to analyse using formulas, prepare reports for customers (Credit Limit Review) and create tables.
- Using Sharepoint for storing files and reports.
- Maintaining the Credit Control inbox and categorising emails with Microsoft Outlook.
- Assist with month end reports as per guidance from the finance team.
