We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Chef to join our busy and friendly school catering team as a Chef. Reporting to the Chef Manager, the main responsibilities are to prepare delicious, high quality food for pupils, staff and visitors during term time., * Preparation, cooking and service of the lunchtime

  • Assisting the Chef Manager / Customer Experience Manager where required.

  • Supervising and delegating roles to supporting Catering Assistants.

  • Managing a key section of the kitchen.

  • Adhering to strict allergen protocols and procedures.

  • Helping with the general cleaning and clearing up on completion of service.

  • Supporting out of hours school events and hospitality where required.

Being highly motivated and flexible will be key and you will need to have excellent customer service skills with a positive, cheerful, ‘can-do’ attitude., Previous catering experience is essential as either a School Chef or from a contract / commercial catering environment. Possession of NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications would be desirable.
