About the Role
Nuco Solutions are recruiting a qualified Electrician on behalf of our client, a well-established Housing Association, to carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, inspection and testing across their residential housing stock. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician with social housing experience to join a stable organisation offering consistent work, strong health & safety standards and a customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive and planned electrical works within Housing Association properties
- Complete electrical inspection, testing and certification in line with BS 7671
- Deliver work on time, prioritising first-time fixes
- Liaise professionally with tenants, colleagues and other trades
- Act as an ambassador for the Housing Association, providing excellent customer service
- Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Accurately complete all job paperwork and certification using handheld devices
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required
- Maintain the company vehicle and report any defects promptly
- Support apprentices or trainees when required
- Undertake additional training to develop skills where necessary
Qualifications / Role Responsibilities
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or approved equivalent
- City & Guilds 2360 / 2351 / 2330 Levels 2 & 3 (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
- Experience working within social housing or domestic properties
- 18th Edition certificate
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Physically capable of carrying out the duties of the role
