A prestigious international infrastructure consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Head of Contracts to lead contractual operations on a major development project in Pakistan. This role involves managing approximately 20 contracts related to construction, infrastructure, utilities, resettlement, and transmission works ancillary to the main contract.You will be the key contractual authority, representing the Project Manager and The Engineer in high-level meetings with stakeholders including the World Bank and WAPDA (Water and Power Development Authority). This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic oversight, technical expertise, and strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams.Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing all technical and administrative documents submitted to the Engineer and advising the Project Manager and Section Chiefs.Preparing contractual correspondence and reports including Explanatory Notes and Technical Reports on Variations.Identifying and providing early warnings on site issues that may lead to claims.Coordinating with Quantity Surveying and Technical Sections to ensure compliance with payment and certification processes.Supporting the issuance of Variations and time extensions for contracts.Advising on contractual matters and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and completion reports.Attending progress and contractual meetings with contractors and the Employer.Managing and supervising the Contract and Procurement Sections.Preparing and reviewing bid documents (excluding technical parts) and overseeing the bid evaluation process.Assisting in commissioning, testing, and issuing Taking Over and Performance Certificates.Supervising claims assessment and reviewing determination reports.Leading correspondence and representation on contractual matters with the World Bank and WAPDA.Requirements:Minimum 20 years of experience in contract and construction management.Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Over 10 years of experience in contract and construction management.Proven experience with FIDIC or equivalent contracts; experience with World Bank projects is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to manage contract teams What they will offer you: Highly negotiable USD tax free salary on a consulting contract around 18,000USD+ / month with return trips home year.
