Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Commissioning Engineer to ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of audio-visual systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in AV systems, an eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and fine-tune complex setups. Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with project teams to understand AV system designs and requirements.

– Conduct on-site testing and commissioning of AV systems, ensuring all components function as intended.

– Configure and program AV equipment, including displays, projectors, audio processors, and control systems.

– Calibrate audio-visual systems for optimal performance, including audio levels, video resolutions, and colour accuracy.

– Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during commissioning and provide effective solutions.

– Perform signal routing and ensure proper connectivity of AV components.

– Integrate AV control systems, ensuring seamless operation of user interfaces and touch panels.

– Document commissioning processes, configurations, and system settings.

– Train end-users and clients on the operation and maintenance of AV systems.

– Collaborate with AV designers and programmers to fine-tune systems for client satisfaction.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

– Proven experience as an AV Commissioning Engineer or similar role.

– Strong understanding of AV technologies, including audio processors, video codecs, displays, and control systems.

– Familiarity with AV protocols such as HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, and AES67.

– Proficiency in AV system calibration and audio optimization techniques.

– Experience with AV testing equipment, signal generators, and measurement tools.

– Knowledge of AV control and DSP programming languages (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC) is a plus.

– Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.

– Excellent communication skills to interact with project teams, clients, and end-users.

– Detail-oriented mindset to ensure systems are commissioned to the highest standards.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

– Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

– Professional demeanour and a customer-focused approach to client interactions.
