Payroll Administrator
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroller to join our recognized client based in Gateshead. This role will assist in processing the monthly payroll for approximately 8,000 colleagues. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £26,000.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Payroll processing
- Accurate processing of end-to-end monthly payroll for circa 1,200 colleagues
- Review, manage, and resolve payroll queries, including manual payments, ensuring accurate records
- Understanding of statutory payments such as Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave
- Experience with full end-to-end payroll processing preferred
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working as part of a payroll team is essential
- Exceptional communication skills
- Competent in manual payroll calculations
- Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining composure
- Experience with payroll software such as PeopleXD (Access), SuccessFactors (SAP), Oracle, Dayforce (Ceridian), or Workday
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs
- CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential
