Legal Counsel – Commercial & Financial Regulatory (NQ-2 PQE)

Are you a 1-3 PQE lawyer looking to join a commercially focused in-house team? This is an outstanding opportunity to join a thriving, listed financial services business within commutable distance of Hertfordshire. We\’re looking for bright, motivated commercial or regulatory lawyers who want hands‑on experience, direct exposure to the business, and the chance to develop quickly under experienced, supportive mentors.

What you\’ll do:

• Work on a broad mix of commercial and regulatory matters across an innovative, growing business.
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Support on regulatory projects and developments, and wider compliance themes.
• Contribute to data protection work alongside specialist colleagues.
• Become a trusted adviser to internal stakeholders across multiple business areas.

Who this suits:

• 1-3 PQE solicitors, either from private practice or already working in-house. Newly qualified lawyers with good commercial or in-house secondment experience will also be considered.
• Lawyers with an interest in financial services or consumer‑facing technology businesses.
• FCA regulatory knowledge is helpful, but not essential—you curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
