Newport is a leading council with a great deal to offer. Our housing and communities services have delivered excellent outcomes for our residents and we are looking for someone to join our Private Sector Initiatives Team.
We are seeking an Accommodation Officer to assist our busy team with bookings for temporary accommodation and with the management of Temporary, Transitional and Settled accommodation provided by the Council to respond to homelessness in Newport.
We operate property leasing schemes and the team also leads on liaising with landlords and agents to enable clients to access the private rented sector to reduce homelessness. There is ample opportunity to shape services and make your mark in Newport.
The authority are also delivering initiatives to support Welsh Governments vision to end homelessness including implementing the Ending Homelessness Action Plan and developing a Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan.
We are seeking an energetic individual with experience of providing housing services and a passion for making a difference. This post offers a wide range of experience, challenges, and personal and professional development to the successful applicant.
