Job Purpose:
β’ As part of the Activity Centre Team, you will drive the business performance and development of our outdoor activities, and camping business at Roadford Lake, ensuring strategic, charitable and financial targets are met or exceeded.

The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated person to take on this dynamic and exciting role at Roadford Lake near Launceston. Duties will include:
- Deliver the activity program including clubs, courses, taster sessions and other activities.
- Keep to recognised South West Lakes Trust, NGB and HSE safety standards for all activities.
- Assist the Activity Centre Manager in developing a reliable and trustworthy team of well-trained staff at the Centre; maintaining a current list of staff qualifications and details; supporting staff rota administration to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
- Take the lead on the maintenance of site activity equipment and record keeping to South West Lakes Trust and National Governing Body standards.
- Liaise and co-operate with all other water users and operations on site on a day to day basis.
- Work with the Activity Centre Manager to ensure site, buildings and facilities are always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Assist in raising the profile and development of the Centre through marketing and promotion of the Centre and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Assist the Receptionist team to ensure all day to day enquiries regarding watersports and camping are dealt with, maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Accountable for health and safety of colleagues, customers, contractors and self.
- This role will include working weekends, Bank Holidays and the occasional evening, so a flexible approach to work patterns is required.

β’ Experience of the delivery and management of on water activities and experiences through tuition, self-launch and equipment hire, including compliance with industry standards and best practice.
β’ Successfully leading teams and demonstrating delivery in collaboration with others.
β’ Strong people management experience, including improving and maintaining motivation and engagement within teams.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
β’ Developing, managing and inspiring employees and volunteers.
β’ Proven experience of safety and safeguarding management and working within systems and procedures.
β’ Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
β’ Good IT skills and is comfortable with learning new systems.

Qualifications
Essential:
β’ RYA Senior Dinghy/Windsurfing Instructor.
β’ RYA Dinghy and/or Windsurfing Instructor.
β’ Paddle UK (BC) Paddlesports instructor + SUP.
β’ Current valid UK driving license.
Desirable:
β’ RYA; Powerboat instructor, advanced dinghy instructor, race coach, Wing Surf / Foil Instructor.
β’ ERCA High ropes qualification.
β’ Archery GB instructor.
β’ Relevant health and safety qualification.
