About the role
Location: Barnsley
Salary/Hourly rate: Base rate £18.47 – £22.30 depending on skills and experience + premiums paid for hours worked between 6pm – 6am + additional Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holiday and Overtime Premiums.
Shift Patterns: 8.5-hour days working the day and back shift on a rolling rota between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00

What You\’ll Be Doing
- Servicing & maintaining HGVs to meet safety and performance standards
- Diagnosing & repairing electrical and mechanical faults
- Handling breakdowns & reactive maintenance, ensuring first‑time fixes
- Following manufacturer guidelines to keep our fleet roadworthy and efficient
- Keeping accurate records of work completed
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- HGV experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Class 1 license is desirable… but we can support you in getting it
