Are you a patient, empathetic, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Randstad Education is working with a number of inclusive and supportive schools who are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team and help students thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to provide 1:1 or small group support to children with additional needs. These may include:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language difficulties
- Learning difficulties
- Emotional or behavioural challenges
You will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independence in a safe and nurturing environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)
- A compassionate and adaptable attitude
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence in managing behaviour calmly and effectively
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English - Grade C/4 or above
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
- Relevant SEN or childcare qualifications are a plus
