Financial Controller | London (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
Your Role at a Glance
You\’ll work closely with the Finance Director, supporting day-to-day operations while playing a leading role in month-end, year-end, and integration activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting on all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Budgeting and forecasting (revenue, expense, headcount, CAPEX, and D&A)
- Revenue recognition, review, and variance analysis
- Overseeing migration and adoption of new accounting platforms
- Expenses analysis and review
- AR and bad debt review, with oversight of AR and debt collection processes
- Driving standardisation and efficiency across the business unit
- Monthly GL/BS/P&L/journal preparation, reconciliation and review
- Compliance & audit – supporting internal and external audits and statutory account processes
- Capitalisation, depreciation and amortisation calculations, forecasting and reconciliations
- Management of and support for junior team members
- Supporting the wider group finance team and all integration/BAU activities and processes
- Championing continual improvements to finance functions and activities
- Ensuring quality control and SOX compliance for all financial transactions and reporting
- Providing ad-hoc reporting, review, and analysis as required
- Any other duties aligned with the level of the role
- Line management responsibilities for junior finance admin team
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant FC
- Experience working in international teams and reporting in multi-currency
- Strong knowledge of financial records, time management, and project management systems
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, PeopleSoft, Xero)
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Concur, Xero, and Daptiv
- Background in software, tech, or data/analytics organisations
- Experience implementing new accounting systems and processes
- Experience with systems integration and change management
