The successful candidate will assist with driving Continuous Improvement activities, oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, compliancy and the smooth delivery, ensuring the highest quality is delivered, whilst meeting industry standards. This role will play an instrumental part in ensuring the teams work collaboratively, to ensure business objectives are achieved. If you’re seeking a rewarding role, where you can be a proactive Operations Manager, I’d love to hear from you! ***Please note fully site based role The Operations Manager Role: * Lead, motivate and manage the production team to drive productivity and quality to ensure targets are excelled * Analyse, assess and monitor production activity, recording onto the internal metrics and identifying opportunity for areas of improvement * Complete safety and environmental audits on a regular basis, recording data and providing training where needed * Ensure quality processes and standards are being adhered to and are in line and compliant with the aerospace industry standards and regulations, for example AS9100 * Support with implementing new quality control processes to minimise defects and enhance product reliability. Support with Continuous Improvement projects and ensuring employee buy-in * Oversee inventory levels, procurement and supply chain logistics to ensure production flow and to assist with reducing downtime * Support with recruiting, training and performance development with new and existing employees to increase productivity, capabilities and to assist with achieving the company goals * Budget control, analyse financial data, cost reduction and efficiency improvements * Liaise with all internal teams to ensure a smooth transition between departments and customer satisfaction is achieved * Operate as part of the Senior Leadership team, presenting and assist with achieving the business objectives You’ll Need: * Previously operated within a management role within an aerospace setting * Experience in Lean Methods, Tools and Principles * Good understanding of the aerospace manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. * Experience of data analysis, operational planning and rollout * This position is based in a manufacturing facility and may require occasional travel to suppliers, customers, or other company locations, therefore a Driving Licence would be highly desirable * Proficient in all Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint * Due to the nature of our client’s business, all employees are required to hold the required national security clearance for their role.
