Overview

Sanderson has partnered with a well-known Financial Services organisation to recruit a Payments Product Owner/Analyst to join a newly formed technical product team that is at the start of a large discovery period, looking at branching into new markets.

Location: London HQ (Z1) – Hybrid Model – 2 days p/w on site

Experience Required

  • API Development: Proven experience working with and documenting RESTful APIs.
  • Open Banking: Essential knowledge and hands-on experience with Open Banking principles, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Technical Documentation: Strong ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical specifications and documentation.
  • Payments Products: Direct experience in analysing, building, or delivering payments products, ideally within the financial services or FinTech industry.
  • Business Analysis: A background as a business analyst or other hands on technical role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • API Development & Product Analysis: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, analyse, and document requirements for new payment APIs and features.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including API specifications, data models, and user guides. This ensures clarity and consistency for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Payments Product Delivery: Assist in the full product lifecycle, from ideation and analysis to delivery and post-launch optimization of payments products. This includes identifying market needs, competitive analysis, and defining product roadmaps.
  • Open Banking Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of Open Banking standards, regulations, and APIs to develop compliant and cutting-edge payments solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
