Overview
We have an opportunity available for a full time Support Worker to join the team at our Silver Street Respite Service based 28 Silver Street , Dodsworth Barnsley S75 3NP.
Silver Street supports adults with a Learning Disability and/or Physical Disability, aged 18 and over, living in the Barnsley area. The team aims to ensure that people, or the people they\’re supporting, have a short break that meets their needs. Please for further details of the servcie.
Salary: £12 per hour
Hours: 37.5 per week

Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will have the incredible opportunity to embody our core values of kind hearts, tailor-making, dreaming big, having courage, and being ready. Your role will involve providing exceptional care and unwavering support to the adults we support particularly those with learning disabilities, complex needs, and behaviour that challenges.
You will provide personal care, administer medication and assist with domestic tasks. With your kind and compassionate heart, you will create an environment of warmth and care that will make service users feel seen and valued.
As a tailor-made supporter, you will have the opportunity to adjust your approach to each individual\’s unique needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of care possible. With courage in your heart, you will tackle any challenges that may arise with unwavering determination, knowing that your presence alone brings comfort to those who need it most.

Qualifications
Prior experience working within a care setting is essential for this role . Upon on joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
