We have an exciting role on offer within our Public Health as a Caseworker.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our Opiate Team.

Who We Are:

Working as part of Middlesbrough Council, our multi-disciplinary team provides vital support to those experiencing problems related to substance use. Our mission is to empower our service users by offering comprehensive care, tailored interventions, and a pathway to recovery.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Caseworker, you will provide comprehensive support to clients experiencing substance use issues, domestic abuse, and homelessness. You will guide clients through their treatment and recovery journey, implementing psychosocial interventions, developing recovery plans, and facilitating referrals to relevant services. Your work will be helping people achieve recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings and assessments to identify client needs.

Develop and implement tailored recovery plans.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure service users receive the care they need.

Work proactively and flexibly to engage clients and meet service needs.

Ensure adherence to all processes and procedures.

Liaise with the clinical team to coordinate appropriate clinical interventions for clients.

Requirements:

Experience in working with vulnerable populations—ideally those with issues related to substance use, domestic abuse, or homelessness.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to a trauma-informed, strength-based approach.

This role also requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will also need to have business insurance in place prior to starting if you do not already have this.
