Junior Sommelier

Junior Sommelier/Wine Waiter/Waitress, SW1 London, Monday to Friday, £33,500 + bonus Passionate about wine and hospitality? Then we may have the job for you! This established private members club with 2 restaurants, a bar and private dining rooms has an amazing opportunity for a Wine Waiter/Waitress or Junior Sommelier to join the team. In this role, you will be * Recommending wines and pairing wine to food * Customer focused with good communication, attention to detail and presentation * Strong in wine knowledge particularly in French wines and able to converse with guests about wine * Knowledgeable about wine storage and serving temperatures * Liaising with guests Working hours are Monday to Friday only with split shifts: 11:00 – 15:00, 17:00 – 23:00 Benefits include: * Bonus (currently paid bi-annually) * 10% work place pension after 5 years * Exceptional working hours (Club is closed in August, Christmas/New Year and Bank Holidays) * Taxi home if working after 23:00 As our candidate, you would be * a wine waiter/waitress or Junior Sommelier with strong wine knowledge (essential) * WSET Level 2 or 3 qualified * experienced in a similar role * genuinely passionate about wine and able to talk knowledgeably about wine, storage and serving temperatures * experienced in wine/food pairing * strong in communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues and customers * keen to learn and develop, taking advice and direction on board * attentive to detail and presentation * friendly and approachable with a professional manner For more information and to apply, please send your updated CV immediately *All candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time of application INDLP
