Occasional hours available. This is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave. The hours and days you work will vary.

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Wharfedale House is home for 18 adults with physical disabilities. We are based in Wetherby in West Yorkshire.

We are located at 16 Wharfedale Lawns, West Yorkshire, LS22 6PU. Please check the location before applying.

Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone!

As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, you will become part of a fantastic team. Every day is different, but here are just some of the duties you will do:

  • Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
  • Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
  • Supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
