MERJE is seeking an experienced Operational Risk and Compliance Manager for a leading property services company. This a newly created role that offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement risk management frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive the company\’s ESG initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the company\’s ISO 9001 certification and managing vendor relationships.

The Role
The Operational Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for maintaining effective risk management and compliance frameworks across the business. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this role offers ownership of key projects and initiatives, including the development of the company\’s ESG framework and management of the ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities of the Operational Risk and Compliance Manager:
- Develop and implement the company\’s risk management governance framework
- Manage the risk review process, including quarterly risk and control reviews
- Oversee the vendor management process to ensure compliance with procedures
- Design and implement compliance training and educational programmes
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and internal audits
Required knowledge and experience for the Operational Risk and Compliance Manager role:
- Proven experience in risk management and compliance within financial services
- Knowledge of risk management governance and controls
- Experience with ISO 9001 framework and quality assurance systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
