A long-standing UK-based manufacturer is looking for a commercially minded E-Commerce Manager to drive its digital sales strategy. Having recently undergone a major rebrand and website launch, the company is now entering a pivotal growth phase with increased investment in digital infrastructure and e-commerce channels.
Within this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the online sales and marketing strategy across the company’s digital platforms, with a focus on increasing product visibility, generating leads, and improving user experience and conversion rates. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role will play a vital part in supporting the company’s digital transformation and working closely with wider sales and marketing functions.
Please note that this is an office-based position, so you must be able to visit their office daily, located in Stockton-On-Tees.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy across the company’s website

Optimise the online sales funnel from product listing to checkout, improving UX and UI with internal and external resources

Manage product content, imagery, and SEO in collaboration with a Marketing Executive

Analyse web traffic and user behaviour using tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar to improve conversion
-
Oversee PPC and collaborate on email marketing and social media campaigns with internal stakeholders or agencies
-
Maintain and update the website CMS, ensuring accurate, engaging, and timely content
-
Work closely with sales and production teams to align stock availability, pricing, and lead generation
-
Monitor competitor activity and trends to inform pricing, positioning, and promotional strategy

Produce regular reports on sales performance, website traffic, customer acquisition, and ROI on digital campaigns

Identify and implement new e-commerce tools, plug-ins, or platform upgrades to enhance website functionality
Some of the requirements

Proven experience managing e-commerce platforms such as Shopify

Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, CRO, and digital analytics

Proficient in tools including Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, and Meta Business Suite

Experience in a product-based, B2B or B2C e-commerce environment

Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, manufacturing-led environment

Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is an advantage
